My day with Brandy Vaughan and LearnTheRisk.org volunteers protesting at the AAP convention in San Francisco

In a rare and unusual move, I spent a day off at Moscone protesting with LTR folks, instead of working the event as I often do, and as I am currently while typing this post.  The AAP2016 convention is this year's meeting of the American Academy of Pediatrics and its heavily sponsored by vaccine manufacturers, whose ads are all over the place on this gig.  HPV is a big focus this time around, as is Merk's RotaTeq vaccine and something else from GSK for meningitis.  Megapuke.

Highlight of the day was right at the end when I spotted Paul Offitt MD walking by... I recognized his face as he passed and looking down at his nametag all I needed to see was "Paul" before shouting to the others "hey its Offitt!" - he walked past our display then circled back, and as he passed the second time I said to him "we've heard of you" to which he replied "yeah, I bet you have."  He then continued to walk off at a hurried pace - #OffittRan to be filed next to #PanRan and #PanRan2.

Here are a few of the photos from yesterday:
