Yesterday was absolutely beautiful skies all day long, the fog burned off the coast by 1pm and it was purely gorgeous out all day long. 180,000 participants in this huge 5-stage 3-day event. So far my favorite act is a relative new one, some youngsters calling themselves Black Keys. Real good stuff. John Fogerty plays later today, and my cousin is old friends with him so I'll get to hang out and meet him later in the day. The band OK Go - they can keep on going, far in the other direction. Totally vapid, insipid, banal, beige, bland, homogenized crap. Let me tell ya what I really think. So yeah, no chemtrails visible by my detection, unless they were again being sprayed far off coast to have already fully dissipated into groundhugging mist by the time they got to shore - with such a huge crowd it was kinda hard to tell if that mist was present or not - today on my way out there I'll check out the view to the Pacific from a hilltop and double-check. Today looks like a repeat of yesterday, and the park should be a great place to hang out - except for the fact that you won't recognize the names of any of the bands on the playbill. There is an untested additional aspect to the Demonstrations in Civic Center on Monday during Rush Hour.
The San Francisco Civic Center is no-longer under the jurisdiction of the San Francisco Police Dept. That function has been taken over by a PRIVATE SECURITY FORCE which does NOT answer to the people, to the Board of Supervisors or to anyone except their own Board of Governors: And they will be “IN-CHARGE of Civic Center tomorrow (supposedly). BART.gov is a federal agency and the City of San Francisco will apparently have no-say in what happens tomorrow because the FEDS control BART and the CBD controls the Civic Center .
“"For the people outside of San Francisco, show solidarity by using black fax, email bombs, and phone calls to the BART Board of Directors. BART decided to cut off your communications and now we will flood theirs," the group said in a statement.
Anonymous calls the effort #OpBART. The statement includes links to media materials and "email and fax bomb info."
The BART cell phone shutdown occurred on Thursday and took out service from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. PST at the Embarcadero, Montgomery Street , Powell Street , and Civic Center BART stations.
"Shutting down access to mobile phones is the wrong response to political protests, whether it's halfway around the world or right here in San Francisco . You have the right to speak out. Both the California Constitution and the First Amendment to the United States Constitution protect your right to free expression," the ACLU said following the outage, a violation of the Communications Act of 1934.
The outrageous BART action follows a call by British PM David Cameron to censor social media in response to riots in London . Cameron said the "free flow of information" can be a problem and promised the government will work with business to shut down internet and cell phone communications in the future.
Home Secretary Theresa May called for meetings with the three companies following Cameron's statement.
